The second floor hall with niche. Interior stonework in niche is faux painted. The two planters with topiaries are faux painted. All other ceramic pieces here are real.

The various pieces of trompe l'oeil Chinese blue and white porcelain, painted throughout the Inn, are reminiscent of the pieces that were brought back from the Far East by the ships' captains who sailed from this area, 300 years ago.

All of the raised paneling on the three floors and stairways was trompe l'oeil painted. Vistiors often feel the walls to see if the paneling is real or not.

The castle is a copy of one found on a planter in the store room of this house, with the initials of the original owner. The clipper ship is a nod to the China trade, which brought wealth to this area North of Boston in the 1700's.

The trompe l'oeil tea set was designed with the initials of the original owner of this historic home.

Painted ivy "climbing through" the real window

Detail of some of third floor painting. The crane on the pot is in reference to the Crane family who built this house.

CAPE COD SUMMER HOME, Osterville, MA

Walls are faux painted to look like limestone blocks. The archway ceiling is painted as a sky with clouds.

A good photo of the colors used

RETIREMENT RESIDENCE, Plymouth, MA

This foyer, staircase and upstairs hallway floors were all faux painted to look like inlaid wood.

The pine cone is a recurring theme in the painting, as this home is in the Pinehills.

Jack did two huge Native American paintings for this two-story foyer.

I found the acanthus leaf chandelier at an antiques shop and painted it forest green.

HALLWAY at the HISTORIC BEALE ESTATE, Quincy, MA

Trompe l'oeil painted window, stone wall, china plates and framed silhouettes.

VACATION HOME in OAK BLUFFS, Martha's Vineyard, MA

A scenic mural with a Martha's Vineyard view

A bit of tongue-in-cheek fun on the stairway and other walls
