KITCHENS

TUSCAN COUNTRY STYLE KITCHEN, Cohasset, MA

Walls faux painted to look like an old Tuscan farmhouse kitchen

We removed a cabinet over the sink to open up the space with a "window."

FRENCH COUNTRY STYLE KITCHEN at TRANQUILLITY LODGE, Hingham, MA

In my oLD kitchen, walls and cabinets are faux painted to make us feel that we are in a French country kitchen. The floor is cork. The tiles are Portuguese (which we hand carried home from our honeymoon there!)

Hopper cabinet over the refrigerator. The lettering is part of a quote by Lulu Peyraud, which Kate designed and Jack painted, and which runs around the top of the kitchen.

"Little Piggies" - a pair of cabinet doors in the process of being painted

Trompe l'oeil painted postcards, recipe and travel souvenirs.
All "stone" walls are faux painted.

Dishes we've collected from France, Italy and Portugal

Garlic and lavender are quintessentially French. These cabinets are painted to look like windows out into a French kitchen garden.

We designed the island to fit these baskets, which hold veggies, dish towels and a collection of wine corks!

We tracked down old granite for the countertops at an architectural salvage yard. The ochre color was just what we had been looking for.

A Venetian style lantern imparts a lovely soft glow to evening dining.

All set for an Italian meal.
